Setup Your Profile
Complete the onboarding process to build your expert profile and unlock opportunities.
After you sign in for the first time, you'll go through a short onboarding flow to build your expert profile. There are three steps: uploading your resume, verifying your phone number, and reviewing your profile.
Step 1: Upload Your Resume
This step is optional. If you upload a resume (PDF, DOC, or DOCX), Terac will use it alongside your LinkedIn data to pre-fill your experience, education, and certifications in the next step.
If you skip it, your profile will still be pre-filled from LinkedIn alone. You can always upload a resume later from your profile settings.
Step 2: Verify Your Phone Number
Verifying your phone confirms you're a real person and prevents duplicate accounts. Once verified, your phone number becomes an attestation on your profile.
Enter your phone number and you'll receive a 6-digit code by SMS. Enter the code to complete verification.
Step 3: Review Your Profile
While you were verifying your phone, Terac was building your profile in the background, merging your LinkedIn data and resume (if you uploaded one). This typically takes 15 to 30 seconds.
Once it's ready, you'll step through a short three-part wizard:
About You
Review your full name, headline, and a short summary. These are pre-filled from LinkedIn. Edit anything that looks off.
Experience
Your work history is imported automatically. You can edit any entry or add roles that are missing. Each entry includes role, company, dates, location, and an optional description.
Education
Your education history is imported automatically. You can edit any entry or add schools that are missing. Each entry includes school, degree, major, dates, and an optional GPA.
When you finish the Education step, click All set to save your profile.
Step 4: Verify Your Government ID
This is the most important attestation on Terac. It unlocks the majority of available opportunities.
You'll be guided through an ID check powered by Persona, our verification partner. You'll need a photo of a valid government ID (passport, driver's license, or national ID) and a short selfie. Verification typically completes within a few minutes.
Once this step is done, your onboarding is complete and you'll land on your dashboard at terac.com/me/opportunities.
